Dr. Timothy Popham, MD

Dr. Timothy Popham is one of the founding partners of Louisville Gastroenterology Associates.  He retired from practicing in 2019. Dr. Popham received his undergraduate degree with honors at the University of Notre Dame and earned his Medical degree at the University of Kentucky. He completed his clinical training with an Internship and Residency at Wright State University in Ohio. During his Medical Residency, he received the Upjohn Achievement Award for excellence in medicine. Dr. Popham completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Louisville. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology.

More recently, he has been recognized by the University of Louisville as an Associate Professor, teaching medical students and residents. Norton Healthcare also inducted Dr. Popham into their 90th Percentile Physicians Club in recognition of patient satisfaction scores among the top 10 percent of physicians.
